Here is a great point. The NCAA abdicated the ability to substantially penalize a program...at least a blue-blood program like UM. Cheating was, ostensibly, rewarded. Not only that, the coverup of the cheating was awarded.
The penalty is less than Ohio State paid for its entire national championship payroll last season. The $20m, i all probability, pales in comparison to what they took in by winning a national championship.
