Aaron Bernstein Pushing.

For Joe to be properly honored, field to be named for him, and BoT to reveal where the Joe Statue is.
I never liked the statue as I did not think it represented Joe well IMO. I would love to see a new staue. I also think Joe Paterno field.at Beaver stadium would be perfect. The argument about honoring Joe seems to be what non Penn Staters would think and say. Personally, I do not care what about that. Everything that can be said has already been said.

Yep, who gives a crap what OSU and UM fans, or anyone else thinks about Joe. Joe really was proven innocent of any wrong doing and because some a$$holes flew a plane over PSU our President removed Joe's statue? That was B.S. and I wrote the President right before he did that and told him my opinion.

It's long past time to reverse the mistakes made back then and long overdue for Joe Paterno to be given the place in both PSU football's and and non-football history he deserves for his numerous and beyong significant contributions to the university and the university's status in the academic and athletic worlds. Joe made postive impacts on more students, football players and their families, than the universities "leaders" have done since his death and what they would do if they lived and spent another 100 years in their current roles.

There are facts. There is the creation of narratives. The Penn State trustees, being the leaders of industry they were, panicked. Joe's reputation and legacy, and the Penn State brand were decimated.

Good stuff. Joe didn't do anything that merited the outrage that occurred. Glad to see there are some with sense. I wonder what's happening with Sandusky's PCRA petition?

"Repressed memory is a controversial, and largely scientifically discredited, psychiatric phenomenon which involves an inability to recall autobiographical information, usually of a traumatic or stressful nature. The concept originated in psychoanalytic theory, where repression is understood as a defense mechanism that excludes painful experiences and unacceptable impulses from consciousness."

Those things aren’t happening. PSU already signed a naming rights deal with West Shore Homes and the BOT doesn't want to deal with the media outrage if they honor Joe. I can't say that I blame them.

The best thing they could do without stirring up too much controversy would be to have an exhibit in the sports museum or add a plaques at the stadium to recognize great teams, players, and coaches. Also a plaque at the library.

Why? Legislation is in place to reveal where the Statue is. The media can be outraged all they want. They don't have crap to say about it.
