Best Time to Buy Tickets

I'm going to the PSU-UCLA game on Oct 4 but have yet to buy tickets. Seat Geek and others have the cheapest at $148 at the goal line, but it is a big stadium and the (engaged) fanbase for the home team is about the size of Bucknell's. Based on last year's observation at USC, there might be about 20K Lions fans in attendance. My ticket price prognostication: $75 two weeks out, $40 one week out, and $15 on game day. Any advice is appreciated.

I don't think it will go that low. I think for goal line seats you will still end up paying around $75. But I am no expert. You should have tracked the Utah ticket prices up to game day as that may have given you a roadmap of sorts. Keep in mind Penn State (hopefully) comes in #2 ranked and there are a lot of PSU alumni in Southern California. This is a big game (not big game as in the metric we use to measure Franklin but..well you know what I mean) even if UCLA is struggling.

I think they are going to hold near $100 all in until game day. They often drop like crazy on game day, if you’ve got the balls. TickPick has them at $148, the cheapest. With handling fees and taxes included.

Yea. I'm waiting for $100. It's worth the few extra bucks for tickets in hand.

I was at the WVU vs Ohio U game. Tickets Two days before were $120. The day of, $90. Two hours before kickoff $75.
Thanks. The variables for my model are a big stadium, 15k home team fans, 25k PSU fans, 10k uncommitted locals, and I can wait until game day. Again, I'll lock in maybe at $100 per so I won't need to think about it. Regards.
