Great to see Oklahoma looking good in the 1st quarter vs Bama.

Nothing I like to see better than the $EC getting beat!!! (other than a PSU Win, that is.......)

Bama has 6 plays for 5 yards with seconds left in the 1st quarter!!!

Appeared to be a blowout early but now they're even.

I had DeBoer as a home run hire, but I wonder if his style will work in a northern midwestern climate in November. He had a good running back at Washington the year they got to the final, but there was a huge dropoff in effectiveness when he got injured. Now Alabama is unable to run and is using the short passing game in place of the run. It's not workiing so far.

The Oakie QB has lost his poise, and the play calling where he doesn't seem to have any short outlets hasn't helped their offense either. But he had some short throws on the previous series that he just missed on.

I've synched up the national broadcast on SiriusXM channel 80 with the TV to keep from hearing any more of Herbie.

Why do coaches call momentum-stopping plays when the team has momentum? After big gains and moving down the field, the plays become short passes to the back for -3, then a run up the middle for 1. This playcalling goes on everywhere. First downs and TDs should be the objectives, not FGs and punting for field position.

Reed is one of those take off and run QBs but lacks in passing accuracy. Maybe if Grunk can develop a little more acceleration, then things will work out fine.

These teams cannot figure out how to convert 3rd and 7s. This is where utilizing TE curls or delay routes can be your friend.

Last night's and this game shows the importance of having fast, relentless LB play. Both Campbell and Rojas, if they elect to stay, have more work to do.

Beck is putting a pretty sorry performance together today. At least he hit a couple passes on the 2nd half opening drive. But he's totally unathletic and has thrown a good many passes that its hard to figure who he was even throwing it to.

Exactly the type of QB that PSU should avoid in the transfer portal. Highly rated out of H.S. but negative athleticism to run or avoid the pass rush and doesn't seem to have ability to improvise and make plays when the played called breaks down.

But I'm still hoping he can do enough to beat TAM......
