Yes, I watched those games as well. They were embarrassing and completely “out of sync”…. I agree. I also watched Joe’s embarrassing losses of Minnesota, Michigan, and Michigan State ( in a row) in 99’ with an arguably better roster ( at least the defense). —People/coaches make much more money now, and that seems to justify people impulsively and angrily lashing out to get rid of the irritant, while disregarding the likely long term consequences….. of which we are in the midst —Not sure what the Meyers-Briggs, or DSM 3, 4, 5 say about that. JMOWatched the Oregon game. A totally ill-prepared team given the promises and the circumstance. Then spent some money to attend the UCLA game with many others doing the same. The performance was beyond embarrassing. Then came the Northwestern game with the team's inability and lack of desire to win the game. This expensive team had major holes and also player compensation and favoritism that was unjust, insulting, and deflating. The "obviously" and "I get it" responses were just throw away lines. And as I noted before, I don't think he saw the team as a holistic machine, but just an assembly of 3* and 4* players. I'm guessing his Myers-Briggs profile is an ESFP. A good people person, maybe a teacher, but not an analyzer or solutions guy.
The ENTJ personality type is Extraverted, iNtuitive, Thinking, and Judging, which means ENTJs are energized by working with others, focused on understanding complex systems, eager to solve problems by implementing efficient solutions, and driven to be organized and fair. This combination of personality preferences produces individuals who are ambitious, charismatic, and visionary leaders who love to work hard. ENTJs are usually friendly and gregarious, but in the pursuit of success, competitive, strategic ENTJs can sometimes be blunt, critical, or impatient.Yes, I watched those games as well. Exactly. If there's no structure in place now, even if not the final version to mitigate the damage, then even Neeli needs to be fired. That's the problem when there's no corporate backgrounds or even intuition in these academic intitutions. We lost our recruits and next we're going to lose our returning players. The portal opens in 4 weeks but players are already looking around and talking to other programs.
From ESPN article:
The transfer portal window is moving from December to January this offseason. But behind the scenes, business is already booming. By the time we get to Jan. 2 and players can officially enter the transfer portal, don't be shocked if hundreds of them are already off the board. Several general managers, recruiting staffers and agents surveyed by ESPN compared the upcoming first day of portal season to NBA free agency. "At 12:01 a.m. on Jan. 2, you're going to see people instantly commit," one agent predicted. "Deals have to be made ahead of time."
In order to have a somewhat competitive team next year we need the following players to return and we don't even have a general manager. Who's working with these kids to lock them down?
Campbell
Rojas
Tasch
Arrington
Coleman
Granville
Dixon
Lane
Collins
Grunk
Wallace
Martin
Rapp
Reynolds
Howard
Denmark
Exinor
Outten
Ioane
Shannahan
Cousins
Goodman
I've also registered FireNeeli.com as a redirect to FirePatKraft.com at the moment. She's not worth her own site yet, but I already kinda dislike her for shutting down my old branch campus and getting a huge raise, while our academic ratings lag. And I'm not going to just let her make Pat the fall guy. She's complicit in any failures he's made thus far, IMO. But it now sounds like we might get Matt Campbell. I'm familiar with what Matt's done at Iowa State. I think that could be a good job saver by Kraft if he's bound and determined not to give it to Terry. I think Matt's style would be a good fit here.Exactly. If there's no structure in place now, even if not the final version to mitigate the damage, then even Neeli needs to be fired.
