Franklin's Monday Oregon Press Conf.

Franklin wants everyone attending to stand up and screem EVERY play. Sounds despirate.....

Says they have confidence in Denmark and Howard at WR, but wanted to build chemistry with the starters. But for this game he wants starters on the field as many plays as possible. At all positions.

Redshirts. Coleman and Dixon greenlighted before the season. Q: Any updates? At DE Williams was out, but hopefully back for this week. Next group is Kemajou (DE), Joseph (CB), Tatsch (LB) and Howard (WR)

At RB: Katron's off season added to his take it to the house ability. Nick, needs to let it rip on Saturdays.

And Jennings (SMU QB) was more experienced.
Which is why it seems like playing Oregon early in the season is better for PSU. As the season goes along the new Oregon QB will make mistakes and have an opportunity to grow from his mistakes and correct his reactions to situations. It would seem that Franklin and his coordinators could be more successful in desguising coverages now, confusing the relatively inexperienced Oregon QB, than later in the season. I'm hoping that's the way the game plays out anyway.......

I actually sensed some quiet confidence in his demeanor rather than nervous doubt. I hope it transfers to the team.

Mostly agree. Don’t know if I’d go with desperate, but he’s definitely imploring more than normal. Believe he wants every advantage (“ control what you can control”) , as Oregon has absolutely top end talent. But as CEO/coach, he also wants the “gazillion” 4 and 5 star recruits at the game to have the time of their lives, to make “reloading” easier. —-Coaching is much more multifaceted ( which is why many head coaches are retiring, or becoming coordinators ) , and victory on Saturday is the priority, but he’s also playing to the next generation who will be putting 110, 000 in the stands.
