Future PSU QBs

To ensure the team gets to and maintains top ten, or playoff status year after year, is the portal pretty much the solution for QBs? Yes, there's a Manske or a Gronkemeyer and maybe some decent high schoolers to recruit, but is the UO, OSU, LSU approach the best (only) way to ensure top ten status?

So, with the many 3-star HS recruits being targeted to fill a variety of positions, then to win championships (Pat Kraft's words), the QB will need to be the highly paid guy who is experienced, tested, and proven player, and who will need to be portalled in. ...unless kids like Manske or Falzone become Big10/Natty championship level players.
I might add that Becht may be close, but not a Mendoza or Sayin.
