I developed a new exercise model for seniors)

It is age miles. Multiply your miles walked by your age. Ex. I have walked 59 miles this month. I am 80 and have walked 4,720 age miles. As you age, you lose a little ability every year. After 65, you lose your vitality much faster. 13 years ago, I could walk 9 miles but 4 or 5 is tops now.
Nice. Good for you. A lot of areas like hips, knees, feet don't want to play along after 65. There's some very good public trails with moderate climbs and nice vistas throughout Scottsdale/Phoenix that keep me motivated and where I can get to about ten miles. Not this time of year though. 🙂

I returned to Warren PA for 3 years in 2005. I would walk up all of those steep streets and roads into the mountains. The view from Washington park is one of the best in PA.
In FL it is best to walk at 6:00 AM this time of year. Walking is like taking mental enema, a fabulous way to escape.

There is a man, an artist, who walks 5 miles a day in my community. He keeps dog bones in his pockets and treats dog walker's dogs along the way. He is really a fantastic person and an interesting artist.

Sounds like my wife. She walks 7-10 mi/day. She's 72. I'm 76 and do about 4-6/day. I walk each morning for about 3 miles. I'm not as fast I as I used to be.
One of my best friends plays 18 holes (in a cart) then walks 8 miles a day. He sits on several boards of directors and is a high end type A achiever. Lives in Palm Springs and Calabasas. Poor bastard.
