Playoff To Do List
1. Backcheck like crazy
2. Play the man, not the puck
3. Rotate into the slot for one-timers

Need to get bigger, tougher, and more disciplined. Gadowsky is like BGJ with his "fast" tempo, but other teams can match that. In the new world of pro hockey, it's time to recruit Canada, Finland, Russia, and USA even moreso, and if a few locals make the team, then good for them. Become the ECHL, if not the AHL. No more "we like to play fast" if it subtracts from the other areas.
UM, UMD, MSU, DU, UND, etc. are all ahead of them.

This was produced about a month ago and it still applies for 2026-27.

In looking at some images of shot locations and goals, the highest percentage of non-rebound goals come from mid-slot and low circle areas, basically 10-20 ft out. It's that sweet spot between the goalie cutting down the angle and his quickness needed to stop a shot. So, just like basketball players cutting into the paint for a no-look pass, hockey players should rotate through the slot area and be ready to shoot a one-timer. The assist guys must also know what to do.
