In looking at some images of shot locations and goals, the highest percentage of non-rebound goals come from mid-slot and low circle areas, basically 10-20 ft out. It's that sweet spot between the goalie cutting down the angle and his quickness needed to stop a shot. So, just like basketball players cutting into the paint for a no-look pass, hockey players should rotate through the slot area and be ready to shoot a one-timer. The assist guys must also know what to do.
