Just as the many coaches played the PSU job opening to get nice raises/extentions after Franklin's firing, player reps are telling their guys that they could be earning more elsewhere. It's the wild west now, but in a year or two, all of this will shake out, as a better idea of player worth (dollars to productivity) will result in a market equilibrium. This may even happen in the coaching ranks where a guy like Cignetti, who knows the value of culture and character, will be sought out over coaches who assemble a lot of expensive players.
