Success in hoops, hockey, and holding its own in football. Other than the "cheating", what are they doing? Better hires? Better "fires"? More alumni money? Older tradition? Better academic reputation? Urban/suburban location?

I don't know but they have completely OWNED OHIO ST recently. They had like what a 5 game win streak against them in football? Their basketball team won all 3 games against Ohio St this year. I've never seen such dominance in a rivalry by one school recently. Ohio St is Michigan's little brother at this point.
