Thought Washington was going to start opposite Harris this year, now not so sure

Collins came in as a transfer with the 2023 class and at that time was listed at 6', 160 lbs, so he had a lot of work to do to put on the muscle to make an impact. I believe he got into some games that year and I can vividly remember after one play going to the sideline and getting an ear full from Franklin. Possibly a missed assignment (?). Don't remember if he redshirted his first year, 2022 at MSU or if he redshirted in 2023 at PSU, but hen's now listed as a redshirt Junior for 2025. I also remember him getting some roughing penalties. But by the end of last season he seemed to be getting some regular playing time and making plays. Collins plays physically for a CB. Now listed on the GOPSUSPORTS roster at 5'11", 180 lbs.

Not matter who starts, Washington and Collins seem to be in the top 3 CB rotation with Harris. Some fans haven't really seen enough of Collins to talk him up but if you go back and watch replays from the 2nd half of last season Colins got some reps and was arouind the ball alot making physical tackles when he could. He's a physical player and loves to hit.

Harris seems like he's projected as a high NFL pick after this season but it would be great if Collins would stick around for 2026 along with Washington and Tracy which would be a great 3 CB rotation, and some talented backups in Dixon and the others as well. But all 3 of Collins, Washington and Tracy are draft eligible for the 2026 draft after this season.
