Below is ISU playing in a high stakes game 5 years ago. It may not indicate PSU's offensive style in 2026, but playcalling and execution seem sound. I think the skill guys are talented and skilled enough to make the plays. I know, duh, but the newly remodeled OL will be need to be the fulcrum.
I like the mature, team-oriented players assembled so far. Is this "kid" a possible headcase? And he did leave PSU. Is he a "me" guy? Will it disrupt the locker room? I dunno, he could be a fit in the Campbell culture.
I worked for a few companies during big mergers. The new people would say "well, this is how we did things at [ ] and it worked great". There were cliques, arrogance, and oneupsmanship (if that's a word).
Right now, I like the new PSU players given the situation because they like and...
I don't understand the problem with dropping down and playing for a Bucknell or a W&M if their is no pro football in one's future. Great schools, okay football. Big fish, little pond kind of thing. Out here, Big Sky football is decent. NAU has been known to give UA and ASU fits and those...
Good to hear Nnodim's tough with some nasty. Tengwell wasn't big on him when he first joined the squad, but the middle of the DL looks like it's getting fixed.
Absolutely. There's no other path. Players leave, gaps will need to be filled, and if the talent is not already on the roster, players will be brought in from somewhere else. A natural occurrence with no regulation.
Did anyone witness or get feedback on the new guys other than Becht's status? How do the key players like the big DL guys look? Depth Chart-wise, does the fast 6'4" WR from Grambling, for example, add anything? Is he being coached up?
I know CMC is still working on things and maybe doesn't...
In the post "game", CMC was asked how Rojas and Tasch were developing at LB. CMC covered those two but immediately jumped to comment on the many other players who are performing well. The PSU "press" needs to understand that all players on the roster are now our lads, not us versus them.
So, what will be the strategy going forward? What will the model be in 2-3 years? 20 out of HS and 10 from the portal each year, give or take? Assuming an increase in attrition. And with in-house development preferred for the non-skill positions because there is less risk.
Money is no guarantee for a natty. Culture, hard work, basics like OL & DL, and execution.
With these Texas folks, they just want a natty to hang over their mantles.
I tend to believe that football is 70% chaotic or unplanned after the ball is snapped. Yea, Codutti can get to the micro level of technique as if everything can be scripted, but in most cases, a combo of successes (blocks that work), failures (a missed block, or a missed read or tackle by a...
