Deep south teams need to hire deep south coaches both for recruiting and fan acceptance. It is what it is.

The stats for either team and players are not earth shattering. Maybe Arch is just okay and the "vaunted" Texas D is exactly what Cam Skattebo showed it to be. There will be better clarity at midseason.

Integrating TEs into the passing game is a lost art, except at PSU.

Analytics plus adherence to a system that works. For example, making sure that a pro-level OL and a running game always exist and never letting the WR & LB rooms deplete again. I watched pieces of the Army and Colorado games yesterday. No running game. Painful.

I don't like this reality, but investigate all options, even if it's for negotiation leverage. It could be worth maybe an extra $200k or more.

The best approach in these times is to ensure that the trenches are elite every year. In that way, most 4-star RBs will shine.
