    Super Bowl madness.

I definitely know people that are for sure!

    Super Bowl madness.

I hate getting political on a sports forum, but I’ll say one thing I genuinely believe. TDS is real. If Trump told people to take a deep breath because it’s good for you, many many people would vanish. 🤷

    Super Bowl madness.

I am in complete agreement of this. The NFL has become a propaganda machine. It's disgusting.

    Super Bowl madness.

People just have to remember to actually get off the channel and not just walk away from it while it plays. This is obvious to some, but not all. I personally feel it is a slap in the face to the majority of true Americans.

Too early 2026 Big 10 Power Rankings

I get the tier breakdown, but taking rankings at face value is the problem. The Big Ten isn’t static anymore. Portal turnover, NIL, and QB play matter more than preseason tiers. “Easy schedule” ignores matchup styles, road games, and how quickly rosters change year to year. 7–2 or bust assumes...

    Cignetti and Fernando

He was just the first to figure out the new way of college football. I certainly wouldn't chalk it up as the best coaching job in history or anything. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it wasn't good though. There is a difference between stars out of high school and developed/experienced players.

Miami QB Carson Beck tells reporter he hasn't attended class. That he graduated 2 years ago.

Yeah I heard that and nobody should be surprised. Honestly, detach from the whole college thing now anyway. Why even call it "college football"? Call it what it really is and stop beating around the bush.

Serious question. Is the Blue Chip Ratio becoming outdated in the portal era?

I doubt it’s about Charlotte outbidding PSU. It’s probably about playing time and a clearer path in many of these cases. Money matters, but opportunity also matters a ton too. If you’re not seeing the field, the portal gives you an immediate exit instead of waiting it out.

Serious question. Is the Blue Chip Ratio becoming outdated in the portal era?

I don’t really disagree with you. The elite programs will always keep elite producers. That hasn’t changed. What has changed is that stars no longer buy you patience. If a high school kid isn’t contributing early, he’s now a transfer candidate instead of a redshirt and develop guy. That’s...

Serious question. Is the Blue Chip Ratio becoming outdated in the portal era?

This is pretty much where I land as well. Without contracts, roster construction becomes asset management, not recruiting in the old sense. Paying for projection instead of production is a losing game when players can walk every offseason. The part that keeps getting lost is that the Blue Chip...

    Indiana Oregon jawbreaker

Exactly. Depth and proven experience are becoming just as valuable as blue-chip rankings. The portal is flipping the old advantages on their head.

    Indiana Oregon jawbreaker

The portal just amplifies that philosophy now. If you can develop, evaluate, and teach, you can win in multiple ways.

    Indiana Oregon jawbreaker

I don’t disagree that Indiana is an outlier right now, and Mendoza has absolutely elevated them. Elite QB play always matters. My point is more about the direction of the sport than Indiana specifically. The portal is creating a second path to contention that didn’t exist before. Proven...

    Indiana Oregon jawbreaker

Mary, I honestly don’t think that matters anymore with the portal set up the way it is. Development is the only thing that truly matters now. High school stars are still just projections. With the transfer portal, teams like Indiana are clearly prioritizing proven college production over what a...

Serious question. Is the Blue Chip Ratio becoming outdated in the portal era?

College players don’t sign binding contracts, NIL doesn’t stop transfers, and roster turnover now feels closer to annual free agency than traditional roster building. The Blue Chip Ratio only measures high school recruiting over a four-year window, but it completely ignores developed transfers...
