Which is why I think they could lose to LSU and they are in. The only other likely preseason ranked opponent is S. Carolina who would barely be ranked. SMU will take a step back and is likely in 30s as is UNC and Louisville.

11-1 ACC team is 99% in, even if they drop the ccg. SMU showed us that and Clemson has a much higher brand quality to prop them up. I will say that they at least have more of the possibly decent ACC teams on the schedule.

They dodge Notre Dame which is essentially ACC. And of course, Notre Dame will not play a top 20 team the entire year until the playoff. Maybe Boise St, Miami, or Texas A&M will make the jump if they are lucky.

I don't think Clemson is a legit threat. I don't see any ACC or B12 team potentially ever being a threat to win it all. They simply aren't on the same level as the Big 10 and SEC. The one thing in their favor is that they play a soft schedule that might allow them to keep guys fresher, but they just aren't going to see the same level of competition week in and week out.

I respect your opinion wholeheartedly, however, I think Clemson is a serious threat this season. Plus, Dabo has alot to prove to his fan base.
