2025/26 Transfer Portal & Roster Changes Thread

I'm sure this has errors but I'll take a shot at next year's depth chart:

QB Becht, Manske
RB Martin, Hansen, Peoples
WR Howard, Sowell, Eskildsen
TE Rapp, Brahmer, Burkle
OL Donkoh, Cousins, Onoh, Goodman, Bandhauer, Buhr, Ikakoula

DE Granville, Kemajou, McPherson
DT Williams, Nnodim
LB Rojas, Tasch, Bacon, Brezina
DB Dixson, Tracy, Collins, Toure, Neal, Patton

Your issue seems to be with the state of "college" football today and I'm with you on this 40% of players in free agency seeking out their best deals and teams buying 40% of their rosters or more (the 4 semifinalists are all more).
Highest priorities for recruits:
1) $$$
2) Loyalty to their coach

Lowest priorities for recruits:
1) Loyalty to their school
2) Education
3) Proximity to home

OSU has 5 WR's in the portal, also including Mylan Graham who was a solid 4 star as well.

I'd love to see Campbell some how close a deal with Porter. Would definitely be WR #1 for PSU.

Close enough. And I think the coaching staff upgrade will shape them into a "well oiled machine".

The inbound LB transfers are 6'3"-6'4". Amare Campbell is 6'0". The refreshed DL is also bigger. If the edge guys can get to the QB from time to time and the DBs can tackle (not arm tackle), then I believe the defense will be in great shape once work ethic and coaching are added to the mix.

I think it is a reasonable current approximation. But we aren't even close to done in the portal. There will be more adds with starters, depth, and even developmental players added.
We have plenty of Iowa State players rated 85 and below. I assume those are the depth pieces. The question is if we'll spend $1 million to get a top WR or $800k for other top positions like DT or LB.

Most are in high 80s to low 90s, but hopefully the lower rated guys bring hard work and good character to the team.

IIRC the last day to resister for spring semester is January 11th. I assume that means everybody who registers by them will be able to participate in Spring practice.
Get your point. But the last day for incoming football players that will have tutors and a super academic support system to register for classes may not be the same as for regular students. Hard to believe that with the current free for all of transfers that some how the university doesn't give some consideration to the late arrivals that need to get on board for winter S&C and then Spring practice.

This thread ignores the secret sauce of winning football, player development and game planning. Cigneti broght a lot of James Madison players to Indiana and completely turned around the worst football team in the B1G.
Campbell has proven success in identifying and developing talent.
