I don't like all that spending either. It seems to me that cutting off benefits and the ability for illegals to work (e-verify) would encourage many to self deport.

As far as the criminals: The lawyers are having a field day. Somebody enters illegally they should be sent back without waiting for years to have a hearing. That's what expedited removal was for. Those who are allowed in but denied asylum shouldn't be allowed another hearing. 2 strikes and you should be out.
