Chuck Losey Summer Interview

Nice comment on the true freshmen DE's, that they are adding strength and size pretty quickly. Hope they all redshirt other than Kemajou, but injuries do occur and it's a luxury to have a couple additional young players that could step in and make a play when things happen.

Losey commented on Kemajou's strength during winter workouts as well.

Let's keep the hype train rolling. High motor, ultra physical, violent player. Hand technique as a DE is a little under developed, but he was a wrecking ball out there and generally didn't seem to need them. He never seems to give up. Some plays he seems reckless, then you see him play contain and wait until he reads the ball carrier coming back towards him.

Honestly, his TE film is impressive. Blocks like a madman. Pancakes, then hunting for another defender. Smart reads giving up the closest defender then blocking the next guy. Good hands catching those passes. Just the best athlete on the field type of player.

How quickly he can learn to shed college sized OLs will be his only limitation to seeing the field early and often. How will he handle not being the strongest cat on the field? Truth be told, he's already making progress towards that.

Nothing groundbreaking here. Compares Jennings to Durant and Gilliam as far as his baseline testing. Good company.

Pena expected to be faster after his time with the S&C.
Also anticipate Ross, who was already fast, to maximize his speed as he is further tested, and improves his workouts. Something that was less “available “ at Troy. —We should have multiple people running legit 4.3’s and 4.4’s
