College football on TV

Wisconsin wins 17-0 with one TD set up with a pick deep in Miami territory. What does that say about them? Great defense, bad offense, both?
I think the MAC is better quality football than most people think. It isn't tOSU quality but it is mid-to low B1G quality. Remember, a MAC team beat ND last year. (Northern Illinois). OU, Miami, Buffalo and BGSU finished 1~4 last season in their league.

Just another weird note....Ohio University plays WVU AT HOME Saturday. I mean, in ohio university's Athens Ohio stadium. Can you believe that?

Seems like an underwhelming offensive performance against a MAC opponent that Lindy's rated no better than #95 in the country. I think Miami-O only brought 4 of 22 starters back from last year.

On the other hand, Vegas had Wisconsin as a 17-point favorite so I guess you could say they met expectations in that department.

Another B-10 team that didn't set the world on fire last night was Nebraska, which had all it could do to edge an OK but not all that great Cincinnati team.

Good points. I agree that it seems like an underwhelming performance for Wisky. Their D handed them a TD so the offense generated 10pts. I get the fact Miami Ohio could be one of the best teams in the MAC but this still puts them bottom third in B10.

We will see how Wisky and Fickell do this year. I think he is gone unless they win at least 8 games.

Nebraska was so not overly impressive. I can't fathom how we could lose to them at home.

Getting ready to watch Illinois play. I wonder if we just opened with the bottom tier teams playing last night and that's just who they are. Wisky we expected. Rutgers was decent on offense, terrible on defense. Nebraska was better than expected on defense, but Cincy isn't strong I don't believe and the offense didn't have fireworks with Raiola and Holgerson.

Wisconsin lost their starting QB (Edwards, transferbfrom Maryland) in their first offensive series. Their backup is a true Freshman. I'm sure that slowed their offense down.

Good info. I didn't know he was lost early.

I don't think any expects Wisky to win 5 games, but this explains an anemic offense.

He's worked on his drop back a lot. He's still gaining comfort back there best I can tell. That scramble was fun.
I wonder it was a positive for Allar to return. I'm thinking more about next year than this year.

Pribula is more of a McSorley type and he might turn out to have the type of moxie we need to win big games.

My hope is Grunk keeps developing and is ready for prime time next season. If not then it would be good to have Beau.
