Uh, prior, you made the claim that people following their "own moral principles and priorities" is what's killing Western civilization, killing the world, and, if you believe what you just said you believe, you're responsible for Hitler.
You claimed there is only one set of moral principles and priorities that anyone can follow (based on one particular ancient superstition), and whoever doesn't follow that one set is either evil, or allowing evil (so, technically, passively evil, regardless).
Now you're claiming you follow your own moral principles?!?

It might be good to substitute the catch-all term "Hitler" with Stalin, Pol Pot, Mao, or even the EU from time to time. In that way, people may get a better grasp of the despotism, tyranny, and enslavement that exist in a good-hearted socialism and communism world.
BTW, if the principles involve peace, prosperity, life, and freedom, then they are "IMHO" superior.
Right, I understand you feel the word "traitor" misrepresents Trump's words. I respect your opinion on that...but I disagree with it.
To me, "traitor" is an accurately figurative term for (paraphrasing Trump) "people who were once on my side but are now effectively serving the other side's interests."
By the way, I did present the actual post from Trump. It was embedded in the ZeroHedge article. For whatever reason, I can't get his Truth Social posts to copy over as is possible with Twitter.
In any case, neither one of us is going to convince the other on what to me is a question of semantics and what to you goes beyond semantics.
I think, like it or not, there are what might be called teams...or whatever word you want to use...on the American scene nowadays. (I mean, we all like to think we're on Team USA after all.)
The reality is that one team espouses a Jacobin platform of radical positions that are alien to this country's traditions, hostile to its history, and founded on a philosophy of moral relativism where "truth" is defined as whatever serves the interests of the Party. It's been called "soft totalitarianism."
Another team consists of those with characters good and bad, intellects smart and dumb...holding a variety of views but almost all of them in keeping with American traditions and norms...and proceeding from the core moral premise, foundational to Western Civilization, that we don't get to choose our own reality or own Truth.
The third team, probably a plurality, is possessed of those with goodhearted and decent instincts, as most people are, but is for the most part informationally clueless, philosophically unanchored, and morally adrift with the tide. This group actually decides the outcomes of elections, which is why we've seen such wild political swings over the last 20 years. I'm guessing we'll see one again in November 2026.
Final note re Epstein and the "quiet death" scenario. I have no problem at all with your view that we can't just let it go. In fact, that's where my son is coming from as well and as a biased Dad, I tend to find a lot to like in my son's opinions even when I don't totally agree with them.
But the guy who does have a problem with your take...as expressed quite, uh, forcefully yesterday...is Trump. So really your argument on Epstein is not with me but rather with the President. I trust you realize that.

The FBI and justice department have had this info for years. Comey's daughter was in charge, no friend of Trump. No charges have ever been filed. Prima faces evidence that Trump is right. This is just another Democrat hoax to take our eyes off the target. WAKE UP!!!!!!!!!!! USEFUL IDIOTS!!!!!!!!!

Your refusal to admit that Trump not only didn't call all of his supporters traitors but that your statement saying this was inaccurate makes me much less inclined to trust you as a poster or a person. It's OK for you to say that you are wrong when you are wrong. But you won't and that makes you less trustworthy. I have not devoted my life to studying slime. FACT! Justice and FBI have had all data for years. A Trump enemy was the Fed prosecutor in charge. No one has ever been charged. Mary, whatever helps you sleep at night. There are clearly many minor victims, and many had come forward on multiple occasions. All of that is documented. How is there all of these victims and crimes but no one has ever been identified and prosecuted for committing the sex crimes on those minor victims?

I offered an opportunity for Jerry to come clean on misrepresenting what Trump said. He chose to double down on misrepresenting. That doesn't make me miserable; I actually have a pretty amazing life and am very happy. It does make me consistent and I'm being honest with him. I trust him less as a poster and a person. If you can't be honest about what someone else says, then how good is your word?

No prosecutions = HOAX Why would Comey's daughter and FBI agents not bring prosecutions for crines. There are dozens of people involved, all of whom would have to conspire for your statements and assumptions to be true. Russiagate was "real" too.
Tens of thousands of teenaged girls are having sex with rich adults every week. Sadly, statutory rape is among the most common crimes.
Like the Las Vegas mass shooting story that just went away. No hotel footage. No explanation. People just want to know who Epstein was, how he came to own a mansion on his own island, what IC connections he had, how was it that he was associated with many of the rich and powerful, how was this "hoax" concocted and for what purpose, etc. etc. etc. Trump or one of his spokespeople should lay out the summary of events. It would take less than five minutes.

My degrees and my experience as an instructor and later as my department's laboratory program director at one of the top universities in the country are in a hard science. I also do own a number of rental properties, and I retired comfortably in my early 40s. Why is this so difficult to believe and what reason would I have to make that up?

MW's primary definition is "one who betrays another's trust or is false to an obligation or duty," which was precisely the meaning of the President's words. Any attempt to deny that is either evasive semantics or pure gaslighting.
Regarding your newfound lack of trust in my credibility as a poster and a person for having the gall to use English words in accordance with their dictionary meaning, no offense, but your opinion with regard to my trustworthiness is not real high on my list of concerns.
Finally, I find it ironic how wound up you got over my criticism of Trump, which wasn't aimed at you and didn't mention you, but how comparatively unperturbed you are over the fact that the President called you a weakling and Dem-Mediacrat tool for holding an entirely reasonable position on Epstein. It seems like a case of psychological transference where your anger is not directed at the guy who insulted you but rather at the guy who pointed out the insult.
Since Hillary Clinton was never prosecuted for illegally having 30,000+ classified emails on her hard drive does that mean it was a hoax.
