Certainly not ideal, but ultimately will likely not be a problem. —This is potentially the easiest schedule I’ve seen at PSU in 25 or more years. Our offense seems that it will be a little less complicated than those of the Franklin years, as it will rely largely on running backs/OL and TE’s to move the ball. JMO, but I anticipate that it will look closer to a national championship Michigan offense ( “Bully Ball”), than any OSU or PSU offense in recent years. If this proves to be the case, then the position of QB will prove to be more of an important “cog” in the machine, rather than an engine that drives the machine.
He knows the play book for sure, therefore no hesitation. He's a two year starter and probably doesn't need the practice time other than timing with the WRs.
I would hope 9 wins with that schedule. Anything less would be troublesome because a lot of those ISU transfers are seniors (Becht, Hansen, Sowell) and their arrival caused younger PSU recruits to leave. It would be bad if we go 8-4 with less returning for 2027 than we had for 2026.Certainly not ideal, but ultimately will likely not be a problem. —This is potentially the easiest schedule I’ve seen at PSU in 25 or more years. —That said, I think Becht will be back completely……as will the redshirt freshman. I think we’ll have 3 or 4 guys capable of “running” the offense efficiently, with Becht having the greatest overall abilities.
— Going to be a different product on the field, but should be able to win 8-9 games easily, with a legit shot at 10-11….. mostly because of the schedule and simplicity
