Drew to throw at combine this week.

He was definitely exposed senior year but this setting of throwing at the combine is going to be good for him I think. It should play to his strengths. Some team might get enamored with the arm strength and grab him earlier thinking that they can undo the Franklin factor.
All QB without wrs and with an OC who throws all passes behind or within 10 yards of the LOS are "exposed". How Kotelnicki got another job after getting Franklin fired is a mystery.

This guy just noticed what we have been saying for a few years.

I would like to see him go to the Steelers and develop for a year or two. I'd be curious to see how much they could do with him. He has a ton of natural talent that Franklin wasted and/or got in the way of. And they are right to point out that the WR talent and play calling was suspect. Although some of our WRs magically improved once they transferred so I am going to put a lot of that on the staff and play calling. Fortunately, those people are gone. Perhaps both Drew and PSU's offense can heal.

IMO the best case situation for Allar is to go to a team with a QB1, where he can get settled as a backup, with no expectation of playing Day 1.
Franklin did him no favors and I think he probably needs some time to learn the QB position. I personally love the GB Packer model of drafting a QB a couple years before your current starter. It's not hard to think that Aaron Rodgers could have been ruined if he was drafted by the Jets and played as a rookie.

Did Kotelnicki "get Franklin fried" or did Franklin hamstring AK's offense? IIRC, the AK hire was thought of highly due to his innovative offense. Everyone was excited to see what he could do with the talent PSU had. I think we learned that JF butt puckered real hard and he took all risk out of the offense.

Terry said the offense was improved because he ORDERED Koltenicki to stretch the field. His offense was desent for a Pribula but terrible for a pocket QB. HE SUCKS

We have had a very strange history with OCs. In 2024 Coach K was highly praised nationally with his innovative use of TE Warren. All sorts of creative ways to use Warren’s talents, including deep balls.

Then in 2025 the offense was stale and predicable and never threw deep.

Now look at Yurcich. His first year was amazing. Revitalizing the Wing T. Clifford throwing deep. All sorts of formations and shifts.

But his second year…..boring predictable. So bad he got fired halfway through.

Hate to say this but it looks like Franklin got jealous his OCs were getting more attention and credit than he was so he restricted them in their second year.

It’s hard to believe yby head coach would be so petty but why else did both highly creative OCs suddenly loose their mo jo ?
