Not sure of conference and network relationships, but ESPN and SEC are joined at the hip, I believe. The AP will fall in line with this as well. Those three "top" teams can absorb more losses than the others and still be in the playoffs. But correct, let the games begin.

Until everyone plays some snaps, it’s not necessarily unreasonable. —ESPN , however, has a fiscally built in SEC bias…..so my own opinion differs from the article . It’s that “ Grain of salt” time of year.

FPI weighs recruiting rankings quite heavily. It's why Bama is so high after their worst season in 2 decades. It's why OSU is still #4 with their 15 or so draft picks now gone. UGA as well.

Heck, look at A&M.

UT and TAMU have one natty between them since 1970. If it wasn't for politics, it would go back even further. But it's PSU and Franklin with the credibility issues year after year.
