Franklin on the tarmac

This was a bad loss, but I don't expect any immediate decision by Kraft. I'm not even thinking about the CFP at the moment, as our odds of beating Ohio State aren't great, even if we'd won today. I think it's the Indiana game that will decide if Franklin survives the season or not.

But, but Phil Knight. But, but Texas money. So I guess PSU is Guatamala now . Get rid of Franklin. It's a financial and saving the brand business decision. Admit it was a mistake signing him to a ten-year contract. Fund-raise off of it. Franklin gets his $50m, but raise that kind of money over the next 3-5 years. The brand is being destroyed. Save it.

I'm sure we can come up with $50 mm. But it may not come from one source. May not be this week, either.

A&M paid $70 mm to buy out Jimbo Fisher, but then it is Texas.
Yeah, we have money, but we do not have Texas money. We also have a $700m stadium renovation and the school and donors have given him everything he needs from coordinators to NIL. He is on very thin ice and the university is in a tough spot. He needs to be terminated, but we also need to have a good plan heading into it. There are more examples out there like Florida and Nebraska than success stories.

Florida and Nebraska are doing okay right now without their using an immobile, unintuitive pocket passer who is forced into a Big12 offensive scheme. It took a couple of years, but Rhule is going to repeat his Temple and Baylor performances using solid football, without trickery or stupidity.

At least he's stopped citing inane stats, like averaging 3.3 passing yards on 3rd and 2 situations.
Unfortunately for him (around 3 min mark) he still trots out excuses (injuries, travel, etc.) for why he lost instead of taking complete ownership. James is a used car salesman that just ran out of excuses. Not cut out for elite big boy football

Nebraska still lags on line play. It's hard to believe for the team that once set the standard. But not being able to have 200 players and steroid testing probably hasn't helped.

4-1 UNL. 8th in passing yards and 1st in passing yards against. Much improved over the Frost years. Rhule builds programs. And he played for Joe. But sure, Cignetti or Campbell.
