I don't think Kraft will fire Franklin

PSU played in the Natty semi-final game and lost in the final seconds last year. The only way CJF leaves is if he's had enough and agrees to quit.
That seems like a million years ago right now. Plus, we were pretty much running at will on them and managed to give the game away through bad coaching.

The Peter Principle is a management concept that suggests employees are promoted based on their performance until they reach a position where they are no longer competent, as the skills required for higher roles are often more complex and differ from those needed in their previous positions. This results in individuals occupying roles they are not suited for, leading to inefficiency in organizations.

I might add that it results in deflection, obfuscation, and defensiveness. That's why mature companies become dysfunctional and not responsive to changing market and technological conditions. The CEO, CMO, CTO, and COO start their juggling routine with the CFO maybe having a handle on things if he/she sticks to the financials.

There's something missing in this screed. An emotional connection. The fans are not just ticket-buying folks looking for a win. It's not transactional. They are the local "old-timers", the alums, the students, etc. It almost sounds like "I give you eight to ten wins every year. What the F do you want?"

Wait one gosh darn second. Only Texas and Oregon have rich donors.

People are stupid if they think the classic powers will remain at the top with pay for players.

It will only be a few years. Heck, even the ivy league will get in on the action.
