I worked at American Hardware, a very big company, in Butler PA for 10 years. A buyer brought Franco into our cafeteria. He filled the door.
Earlier, in 1969, we went to Syracuse from Boston to see PSU play. We got there early and sat in very old wooden bleachers. The players walked across the field, carrying their gear. Franco looked as big as Mike Reed who walked beside him. He and Lydell Mitchell were definitely the best pair of running backs PSU ever had or ever will have. Our FB history is very rich.
