Jaguars have been getting it done this season with...

I'm not surprised at all with Brenton Strange's success. He's a great athlete. Parker is a little bit of a surprise. But he's a really good route runner with decent speed.

Didn't want to clog this board up with NFL stuff, so this thread should work.
To Eagles fans in particular, is Hurts the QB you want or need to get to another Super Bowl?

Hurts isn’t the issue. It’s their offensive game planning and in-game play calling. Sirriani hired Kevin Patullo to be offensive coordinator this year as the previous one became head coach of the Saints. Patullo has had multiple offensive coaching roles in the NFL for different teams but this year was his first time as an offensive coordinator. And he was offensive. The Eagles talent on offense is top 5 in the NFL but they played using basic offensive concepts that were risk averse - playing not to lose. They played yesterday on offense the way they played 90% of the season - scared. That 49ers defense was decimated by injuries. They literally started players 5th, 6th and 7th deep at three positions yesterday. There’s no excuse to play that way against an injury laden defense.

Thanks for the reply. Based on most others saying the same thing, I was thinking that it was rationalizing or maybe scapegoating for other weaknesses.

Strange was competing for playing time at PSU with Theo Johnson for the most part as an upper classman and before that Freiermuth, and as good as Strange is it doesn't seem that he is as good as Johnsonnow and couldn't beat out an upper classman Freiermuth when Strange was an underclassman. PSU also had a better group of WR's that were better utilized during Strange's time at PSU than what we've seen the last few years anyway in Washington, Tinsley, KLS and some others.

I was really rooting for the Jags to knock off the Bills but when it counted they left the middle of their pass rush open for Allen to burn them on key 3rd downs and thats not the recipe needed to beat the Bills....

Assuming Tomlin never gets fired, the Steelers need to fire the GM for a team with such a poor OL, LBs, and WRs. Then fire the OC. The playcalling is a head-scratcher.

I looked up the bios for both. Khan and Smith. Unimpressive. What causes these guys to get hired?
