Nico is one of the fastest, most elusive guys on UCLA as evidenced by his full year tape at Tennessee. DDS or Deluca can not going to cover him. Spice Adams has a better shot. The whole country knows this except for PSU.

Wheatley would have been a perfect spy and should have been ready for that role the instant Nico was starting to tuck it. All this is just horrible preparation and coaching. The defense strategy was horrible... DDS ran himself out of the play the entire game. Skip the blitz safety blitz and keep it in front of you. Did the staff think Nico was going to pass their way to victory.

We had trouble in containing a mobile QB in one of the first 3 games... We dont learn.

Absolutely. It's mind-boggling. Unintuitive and unprepared coaches and players, and where favorites get the reps.

Franklin is one of those CEOs that are there to give a face to the organization, much like the glasses woman at Cracker Barrel.

The coaches never adjust in game Yes, the game planning was not good. Once Nico started running all over the place, it is hard to understand why a spy that was capable of stopping this was not put into the game.

Penn State was the blueprint on how not to play defense against Nico. Watch, Michigan State will hold Nico to less than 30 yards rushing and UCLA will lose. Yet supposedly the #7 team in the country does not have a capable athlete to stop him. Worse they don't try.
