I know these athletes want to push themselves, but I don't see how her decision doesn't make her life significantly more challenging down the line. To me, the decision wasn't toughness, it was reckless and stupid. Many of us made reckless and stupid decisions when we were young and invincible, but this one seems particularly reckless and stupid.

She doesn't have any kids, and no plans for any.
