Finals are tonight. But Lions already clinched the team championship.
Saw it live. And Van Ness was robbed of a takedown earlier in the OT period with a stalemate as he and this kid had each others' feet. Van Ness had one free already and the other was slipping out and clearly moving out of the grasp of the other kid. They whistled stalemate a split second before Van Ness was behind the other kid for the takedown. Apparently, Duke was also robbed of a takedown that cost him the match that he lost but I didn't see that one.
So, if your wrestler is in trouble, just throw the brick and everything stops.Saw it live. I always thought they had to wait until a stoppage to throw the brickSo, if your wrestler is in trouble, just throw the brick and everything stops.
They didn't throw a brick. The referee blew the whistle and called stalemate. I have no idea how it is a stalemate when it was pretty obvious that Van Ness was in the process of having his foot freed up to get behind the other wrestler. The whole PSU staff was upset on the call. No brick thrown because the stoppage occurred a split second before the takedown could be finished. So, if your wrestler is in trouble, just throw the brick and everything stops.
I was referring to PJ Duke. I believe the brick was thrown while Duke was in the process of continuing on for a takedown and the win. They didn't throw a brick. Oh, I haven't seen that video.I was referring to PJ Duke. I believe the brick was thrown while Duke was in the process of continuing on for a takedown and the win.
Here’s a good look at Duke’s match. Ref called a takedown which ended the match. Then the brick came in. Call overturned.I was referring to PJ Duke. I believe the brick was thrown while Duke was in the process of continuing on for a takedown and the win.
I stand corrected. Here’s a good look at Duke’s match. Ref called a takedown which ended the match. Then the brick came in. Call overturned.
Problem is that stopped action which could have led to a pin.
I thought the brick came in pretty quick. Guess he threw as soon as the arm went up.I stand corrected.
This type of situation needs to be fixed.
Yeah, that situation sucks. He likely gets points if the action doesn't stop even if they determine it wasn't a takedown at that point. Here’s a good look at Duke’s match. Ref called a takedown which ended the match. Then the brick came in. Call overturned.

Van Ness struggled in his second match as well and gutted out the win. Surprised a 10 seed ran the table.SVN goes down. With these up and comers showing up at the other programs, PSU and Cael will need to turn things up a notch. It does however add some excitement to the sport.
Reminds me of this.
