Ohio State - Texas

Not often you get a game this good on the first Saturday of the season.

Really looking forward to seeing Arch Manning in action. Can he live up to the hype...not to mention his famous name.

(IANIT, not sure if it's OK to post this topic here...or if you preferred it under gameday threads.)

As in Ohio State game, I think it is almost unfair that its Young quarterback has to start his first game against the no.1 rated team in the country. It would be so much better for him to have one warm-up game. But the schedule is what it is.

If it was me, in the future I wouldn't schedule big games at the very start of the year for this very reason. If Texas was the second game of the year, it would be much better for Sayin.

Wow, Sark is putting it on the line early. Two 4th-down attempts. No dice the second time.

Manning missed a wide open receiver on that first drive.

Arch looks like the guy who couldn't beat out 7th rd draft pick Ewers. They had more success spreading OSU out and running. Buckeyes have good LBs.

Buckeyes miss the explosive RBs. Running game is getting only 3 yards with good holes. 3 drops have been drive stalling, but the offense is running through Smith and Klare so far.

Wow, the two penalties against Texas were killers, especially the 1st one that amounted to a turnover.

Gotta respect the Bucks. Four shots with power football to put it in the end zone. It's like they were making a statement to Texas that you can't stop us four times down here.

OK, Arch, show us what you got...

Buckeyes strike first. Heavily aided by Texas penalties (all legit) and a 4th down run. Good duo block. I don't think slimming Donaldson down was the right choice, but he could be a back thats wears on a defense.
