Vern Law is 96 today. I was a sophomore in 1960. Vern v eat tge Yankees twice. They broadcast the final 3 innings over tge school intercom. Classes had to be dismissed after Mazeroski's series winng HR.
We all grew up with the Pirates and Phillies being the worst 2 teams in baseball. This was exactly like Indiana winning the NC.
