Penn State 2026 football schedule

What's Beaver Stadium going to look like this fall? How much new progress on the remodel?
For the hockey game the temporary upper decks were gone. I am sure they plan on having new stands in place by games.

Hope the terrible weather isn’t delaying progress.

I just looked it up and found something from December that said the temporary seats would still be used this fall.

“In the 2026 season, what our fans can expect to see is, you’ll actually begin to see the structure of the new west side or the visiting sideline. You’ll see that structure come to form.” “It still won’t be completed, obviously, everything that’s behind it,” James added. “But that structure will start to really be showing itself and we can see the volume and the magnitude of what that west side will ultimately be. “And then a lot of the work that’s going on is infrastructure work behind it.”

Penn State installed temporary seating on the west side of the stadium for the 2025 season and the temporary seating will be back in the fall.

Looking at videos from the hockey game it sure looked like they were gone.

Perhaps they were taken down to do structural work. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Perhaps the temporary seating will be if a different configuration. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Perhaps I was wrong about….,,,nah… not possible 😵‍💫

From Gork......

Northwestern University's new football stadium, the rebuilt Ryan Field, has a seating capacity of 35,000.

This is a reduction from the old Ryan Field's capacity of around 47,000–47,130 seats (before its demolition in 2024).

The new venue, which opened for use in fall 2026 (with its debut game on October 2, 2026, against Penn State), was designed to prioritize an intimate fan experience with better sightlines, premium amenities, and closer proximity to the field rather than maximizing seats.

It's the smallest capacity in the Big Ten but one of the most expensive college football stadium projects ever built, at around $850–862 million (largely privately funded by the Ryan family).
