I think SC is going to be good this year. Rutgers plays Ohio University tomorrow at 6 pm. Go Bobcats!

Va Tec
NC
I'll pick by showing the team mascot. Both are of interest as I understand Brent Pry has to have a good season or he'll be gone (hearing Chucky may take his place). Of course, Belichick's first game as a college HC.

Most of these games won't be close. Texas @ OSU will be interesting because both schools have top 5 recruiting talent but are replacing a lot of players. Go Texas.

IMO the biggest game is ND @ Miami. ND has a powderpuff schedule that makes it almost impossible for them to miss the playoffs. This is one of the only games they have chance to lose. Go Miami.

I think TX is going to win fairly easily. tOSU has a lot of talent but is making some major changes and I am not sold on Sayin at QB. I've also heard rumors that the team has done a little too much celebrating after winning a Natty. Not that they were partying, but they probably did, but their off-season prep work and mindset aren't where they should be. They don't have that "eye of the tiger".

We'll see. Both teams have had top 5 recruiting classes but only return only 8 starters. OSU has the home field advantage.

The bad news for PSU is that OSU's new players will have had time to gel before we play them. They also pay us at their place.

Buckeye fans stating that, if they beat TX and we beat Oregon, they'll have TWO #1 vs #2 games at the Shoe this year.

I chose TX over tOSU due to two reasons. The first is Manning vs Sayin. The second is that I've heard that the team isn't focused like they were at the end of last year and the TX is.

I think Arch Manning is more battle-ready than Sayin. Texas has been knocking at the door for 3 years. Ohio State has talent, but that's not a good first opponent when breaking young players in. Tennessee is breaking in a new QB, while Syracuse has ND transfer Steve Angeli, who lit us up last year in the Orange Bowl. Should not have a problem playing on the road. Tennessee probably has more talent, but losing Nico probably hurt more than people want to admit. But really, my daughter is a Syracuse grad, so I've got to pick them. I picked LSU because Kelly needs it more. Two top QBs in this one.

Some good intersectional games for week one, I think - Texas-Ohio State, LSU-Clemson, Alabama-FSU, South Carolina-Va. Tech, Tennessee-Syracuse, and TCU vs NC.

I may eat these words but I am not sold on tOSU's RBs. CJ Donaldson is a good, hard running but slow RB who xfered in from WVU. Peoples was a highly rated recruit but is just over 200 lbs at 5' 10". He's only had 47 career carries.
