All 87 on NPR editorial staff are registered democrats. How can that be unbiased?
That said my issue with funding NPR & PBS is that those things were created during a time before cable TV and the internet. There are a long list of free news sources, kids programming, and educational programming that can be streamed without a subscription. If the feds can't cut this they can't cut anything.

Agreed. Plus any rural area has small time transmitters and are only good for a few miles, assuming flat land. I seriously doubt anyone is listening to NPR in the middle of nowhere. Are they so interested in the plight of Borneo aborigines in the face of global climate change? Or listening to Terri gross interview a cast members of Hamilton on fresh air?
