Starters: Kyron Hudson (38 receptions, 462 yards, 3 TD at USC), Devonte Ross (76 receptions, 1,043 yards, 11 TD at Troy), Trebor Pena (84 receptions, 941 yards, 9 TD at Syracuse)

Penn State hasn't quite mastered the wide receiver position in recent years. That could change in 2025, with touted transfers at every starting position. Spring addition Trebor Pena may be the most impactful of the three. None should be surprised if he and quarterback Drew Allar turn into one of the Big Ten's better QB-WR duos.

Reading this makes me fell better about our struggles the last few years. Oregon at #5 ? has projected starters with 3 career receptions. And Indiana at #3? Who da thought that could happen. Will be interesting to see what Indiana does with a new Qb under center. Interested to see what PSUs transfer wideouts can produce.

Oregon only returns 3 starters on defense (5 overall). That and they gave up a lot to us last year may not be the test of our WRs that some anticipate.
[2] Evan Stewart (WR), Iapani Laloulu (C)[3] Teitum Tuioti (OLB), Matayo Uiagalelei (OLB), Bryce Boettcher (ILB)

They also lost Stewart to injury so just 1 on offense now.

Still, it's likely the 2nd most talented roster we'll face. Our performance could be indicative of what to expect vs OSU later.

To me, it's the first test, but not on the level of going into Columbus. I'm starting to think @ Iowa may be the stiffer test than Oregon in the white out.

Iowa plays Cover 2 Zone primarily. Oregon will man up quite a bit. Iowa could be a tougher game, but they will have to exceed expectations (anybody have them winning 9 games nationally yet?). Still, our WRs did good vs Zone last year.

Nothing will be on the level of OSU unless we schedule UGA or Bama.
