That makes it hard to believe that the kid who ran for more yards than all of them was draft pick #187.
It seems that last year devalued all of the Lion draft picks but one.
 
It was all of them that devalued themselves. Yes, James led the charge. But their offseason of reading their press clippings to their in-season softness turning one tough loss into a historic slide. They did this to themselves. I don't feel sorry for them because that is life. You don't produce; you lose opportunity. If you are hungry and outwork others; you gain opportunity. Good life lesson for the entire team and community.

Royster was the record holder before Kaytron and went in the 6th round. Always seemed to me like a Lacrosse player who was a running back because we didn't have anyone else stepping up. Lasted a few seasons in the League. The knock on Kaytron was that he lacked top-end speed. He didn't run the 40 at the combine or Pro Day, so that may have hindered him as well. I think he could be a great situational back, but probably not an every-down workhorse.
