Senior Bowl

Interesting that guys sit out bowl games to do this senior bowl because they are "avoiding" injury. But I bet there are quite a few that get injured doing these events. Perhaps they should sit out the senior bowl and play in their bowl games? Which carries less risk? Also, why is the bowl game any higher risk than the last game of the year, or the game before that, or before that?

Will probably cost him millions. Had he gone pro last year, he was a day one pick. A mediocre 2025 and this injury high light the risk of returning
You may be right. But RBs are not highly valued. Could have been a Day 1. But the thing is, if you come back, you have to come back right. I feel like a lot of the guys who came back, came back not to get hurt. I know Franklin supposedly gave these guys a lot of time off in the post-season and the guys who were definite starters also supposedly had a lot of time off in the pre-season supposedly to keep them healthy and fresh. My guess is that you have to keep pushing. You are either getting better or you are getting worse. Some of the guys came back and got worse. This broken foot is an unfortunate thing, but Singleton had already hurt his draft stock considerably by regressing this season. Perhaps some of this was the overall attitude in the locker room in the off-season. It was as if they all had been reading their press clippings and thought they'd just get a free pass to the playoff again.

What I read last year was that he was 3rd round pick if he had gone to the NFL last year.

PFF has him at 110 overall at this point pre-draft which is 4th round and a few spots ahead of Katron, but obviously opinions vary. Even if Singleton had stayed healthy predraft its was more than likely that Katron would have been picked ahead of Singleton in the 2026 draft as he's done very well in the Senior Bowl practices and had a better 2025 season, where as Singleton may have gone ahead of Katron if they both had gone to the NFL last year.
