The Way Too Early Oregon Game Plan

Oregon has lots of team speed, employs deceptive motion (e.g. play action) on offense and has a very mobile QB. Hiding defensive schemes and smart, disciplined LB play will be key for PSU. Some DL stunts may also disrupt the Ducks' game plan and cadence. Defensive predictability will be punished. The safeties will need discipline as well because either a pass or a run will require their immediate attention. Summary: PSU is aggressive and deceptive on D, but without being sucked in. LBs must read through the deception. On offense, simple quick passes and runs. Ball control and momentum (not a Franklin philosophy).

On defense we need to control the line of scrimmage with DDS etc. That other DE position is crucial, Fisher, Harvey, Coleman Kemajou. They won't get a double team, need to make plays.

Knowles needs to present different looks and disguise them well. Need to confuse Moore, he is only a Freshman. Linebackers have to play disciplined and stay in position. If our DL stays in control then the LB can come up and make plays.

Allar has to play well but he does not need to be spectacular as long as the defense is solid. He will need to make throws and no mistakes. Utilize all our weapons and keep them guessing. Would like to see utilizing Singleton in the pass game. Gotta use our TEs. Pena, Hudson, Ross need to get separation and Allar has to be accurate.

I think we need 28 to win it.

I know that Gabriel is gone but former 5* Dante Moore might be just as good. Last year Oregon went for 469 yds and scored 45 pts against a defense that had Abdul Carter, Kobe King, and Jaylen Reed.

I think we're going to need more than 28 pts to win. It would be nice if we could control TOP with our running game but that seems to be a question right now.
