I doubt he fires Powell. I do believe Trump is trying to tarnish him as political and incompetent to ultimately annoy the hell out of him so that he quits.

I know he's beefed about EU with 8 rate cuts to our 3 in the last year or so. We are at 4.5%, EU is at 2.15%.

Today he was complaining about the impact on interest payments.

The Fed is blaming uncertainty due to tariffs.
