9 minutes and change left in the 2nd quarter so still time for the Noles to get their act together.

Right now, however, Virginia is beating them to the punch...finding running room...hitting clutch passes...getting turnovers.

The stadium in Charlottesville is rocking.

Wowzer!

OK, cancel the Upset Alert.

The Noles just drove through the Virginia D like soft butter...three times in a row. 21-14 in a jiff.

And who is this white kid playing WR for Florida State? He looks like Lance Alworth...for those old-timers who may remember that name.

Alright, reinstate the Upset Alert. Virginia just drove through the Nole D like soft butter to tie the game 21-21.

It's actually a pretty entertaining game...but with the first half in the books, I see Florida State winning with room to spare when all is said and done.

Virginia with a rush-dominated drive, gashing the Nole D with 11 running plays to take the lead 28-21. Either Virginia is better than people realized or Florida State's big win over Alabama was a fluke.

Wow. 4th and goal from the 11 and on a last-chance throw, Florida State pulls a rabbit out of the hat to tie the game 35-35 with 36 seconds to play.

That was some game!

FSU: Their QB was great. Very elusive and accurate with his throws. Their WRs made all the plays. VA should have gone to the all out blitz earlier than they did. One the negative side FSU's run defense was bad. VA controlled the LOS most of the game.

VA: Dominating run game and OK passing game. Their pass defense was horrible.

Now FSU has to play Miami. A win tonight would have put them in the driver's seat for a playoff spot but now it will be difficult.

I'm rooting for Florida for the rest of the season. They've already lost 3 games and they still have to play Texas, A&M, GA, MISS, TENN, & FSU. They've already played LSU & Miami so that will be 8 ranked opponents. They should sue the SEC schedule makers.

30 years ago (nearly, Oct 2 1995), I was in the crowd with my dad to watch UVA dethrone unbeaten FSU 33-28. Dex (our S coach) was part of the stop on the final play of the game. Fans rushed the field and tore the goal posts down. As we were boarding our shuttle, I'll never forget a couple guys hauling a piece of the goal post outta there.

Watching the fans storm the field tonight, hearing them play Rock and Roll pt. 2, brought back memories!

As much as I hate the SEC, I have to admit that top to bottom, it's a very rugged conference this year. There don't seem to be many easy outs and there are a crapload of very good teams. Even Vandy is decent. Notre Dame at Arkansas could be pretty interesting this afternoon.

I really thought that the Noles hitting the last-ditch 4th down play to tie the game in regulation would be an emotional dagger for underdog Virginia going into OT. All credit to them for pulling out the W anyway.
