Good point about the "need for speed" element in RBs for the NFL.1st round RBs are extremely rare. Corum/Edwards was a great combo, Corum had the injury issue plus he wasn't ever going to run a 1st rd 40 time. Edwards had the 40 time, but he absolutely was mediocre during their title year and did less last year (Mullings ended up being the bell cow).
I love our combo, but I doubt either are 1st rounders. My only fault with their tweet.
Now, I admit that I don't watch many NFL games; hence, I very likely am way off with this opinion. But it seems as if just about all the NFL RBs have that "home run" capability from anywhere on the field. If that is true, I don't see Kaytron getting drafted very high. Singleton has that HR gear, but Allen, whom I really like, seems more like a Matt Suhey, Sam Gash type of runner. Heck, even our great TB Richie Anderson ended up a FB in the NFL, I think.
Now that I think about it,I seem to recall Leroy Thompson and Michael Robinson also playing FB in the NFL, though neither was a FB at Penn State. Did Evan Royster play FB, too? I don't remember.
Anyway, I am thrilled that both #10 and #13 are back for 2025. I don't much care about their NFL careers (other than wishing them success and good health, of course) unless they help recruit a stud RB for the future.
