Iowa is in the range of a 3-point favorite. Maybe I'm missing something but that number seems pretty low to me. I mean, the program is in disarray and we'll be starting a mostly untested young quarterback in a stadium that is tough to win in even in "normal" times.

Then again, maybe the guys will come out with something to prove and nothing to lose.

They know that even against weak teams, Iowa can’t score more than 25

I don't expect to win but I don't think it will be another 4-6 game. PSU defense started with questions at DT & LB and now Rojas is gone. If NW could score 21 against us at our place I suspect Iowa will be able to score that many at their place.

IMO the only way PSU can win is if Allen gets 20+ carries and goes for 130 yds. Maybe 8 carries for Singleton but use him mostly as a receiver. Then Grunk surprises us and passes for 200 yds and we win teh turnover battle.

I'm hoping since Franklin is gone that nobody is telling Grunk to throw the deep balls short and try to get the DPI. That's so frustrating.

Agree, it makes no sense. The only thing I can think of is bookies think that Penn State’s just gonna come out with a fire that they haven’t had all season. Of course, if they’d played with that fire the last couple weeks, their coach would still be there.

Great way to start.

Turnover King in the right place at the right time, and the offense mixes it up and takes it in.

Should help Grunk settle into the game as well.
 
Coach Smith has done a fantastic job so far. The motivation with the T-shirt. Seems like he’s letting the offensive coordinator do his thing and then making the gutsy calls on fourth down because he knows they have nothing to lose. Looks like he also thinks he has a shot to be the top guy if they can keep this for six weeks.
