Who is Zach Seyko?
I can tell you personally , as I traveled with a high end recruit about 9 years ago, that Franklin’s pitch was TO THE SCHOOL. I heard it from his mouth multiple times on multiple visits as he explained the wisdom of that to the recruit and emphasized it…as well as stating NFL stands for: “ not for long” . He was emphasizing the education over the NFL or the coach ( as they inexplicably change).—-So unless Franklin suddenly abandoned truth and honor, Seyko is very likely FOS

It was. But until proven otherwise , personally witnessed addressing of this issue stands.
—NIL has been in play for a little while. If Franklin went over to the “ dark side “ on this, one of the recruit parents would have called him out by now. It’s antithetical to what he has stood for…..for a decade or more. —There is no upside for him to do this.

“Locked On” /Seyko has been portending and seemingly desiring Franklins exit since post Oregon . — 247 and Blue White have had better ( more objective/fair) content on YOUTUBE, IMO

Seyko is an alum (young one, recent grad) who does a podcast for Locked On. He doesn't have media credentials unless that's changed (I've not watched him since fall camp). He puts out a lot of content, but everything I'd hot take based. The Locked On people seem to have some recruiting connections as he interviews scouts regularly (Brian Smith is one, but he's an Auburn/state of Florida guy), but he's never at practice nor the press conferences that I can tell.
Essentially, that makes him more like one of us than the actual press credential guys (Pickel, Donahue, Gallen, Nate) or even the recruiting guys (Calvaruso, Fitz, Snyder). Nothing wrong with that, but it's either echo chamber or annoying as he isn't particularly bringing anything new and when he hot takes with subject lines to then back down with the content provided, I got annoyed and quit giving clicks.

He says he's a credentialed beat writer for football and wrestling. I watch him occasionally. Much of what he says is opinion, butt he doubled down on this. It just seemed the opposite of what a coach should say. I heard several people on various media talk about a change in James Franklin once he had some success. Zack did say that Franklin said commit to me and not the assistants which may change. He claimed Franklin said that instead of saying commit to PSU. It does seem like some players are committed to James Franklin.

I think that is BS. I think CJF used his long tenure to talk about stability and that he is for the student, not just to win games. I think that can be construed to be "commit to me". I think CJF is a great guy who was a great ambassador to PSU and is probably in the top ten coaches. But he couldn't win the big one and put all of his chips on this season. The loss to Oregon let the air out of the balloon and exposed the problems with the program. I also think it took a lot out of him and his job performance suffered. To me, at the end of the day, the several losses to Ohio State when we should have won did him in.
