2025/26 Transfer Portal & Roster Changes Thread

SIAP

The PSU Roster of returning players, no transfer listed yet. From GOPSUSPORTS 52 returning.

Returning Players
Nice to see the young CB's (Thomas and Johnson) and LB's (Arrington and Smith) listed. A couple other players that didn't seem to make any formal announcement also listed. Freshman WR Samuel, OL Harbour.

The next update should include the 2026 class freshmen, a good many of whom should be enrolling now or very shortly. Registration deadline per the PSU web sites says yesterday 1/11. All of the announced incoming transfers should also have already enrolled. Would seem that another update to the roster should be posted this week.

Here is CLE, many are freaking out that 30 tOSU players hit the portal. And they didn't have a head coaching change.

Listing at end of this article of PSU outgoing transfers. Still some young talent that would be a plus to the PSU roster as they develop if they changed their minds and returned to PSU. Outen at WR, Coleman and Hayes at RB, Woseley at CB, Belgrave-Shorter and Thomas at Safety, Adirika at DT and Williams at DE.

Just got another WR, Kevin Jones from Grambling State. 6'4" 185 LBS.

Great to see the new coaches bring in bigger WR's. I found it hard to understand why Franklin and his WR coaches brough in so many 6' and under WR's after all the success of ARob, Godwin, Blacknal and others earlier during Franklin's PSU tenure.

More on Jones

Maybe not enough money left for a player that likely got top dollar. Porter, with the other WR's Campbell has lined up, might have gotten the PSU WR's on a par with Uh-high-ya once Jeremiah Smith moves on.
I'm sure Porter got paid well. We may have too many positions to fill to pay that. It would be nice if we saved room for one 1 or 2 difference makers at positions like WR, DE, DT.

With Elijah Sarratt, formerly with the St. Francis Red Flash, excelling at IU, then I'm thinking with guys like 6'4" Sowell and Speedster Eskildsen coming in and combining with Howard and Becht, then we'll see how things play out. Either buy into the Indiana model or buy into the Oregon model. I prefer the former.

I found this to be helpful. Sadly, this is what killed college basketball for me. In college BBall, I have no idea who the players are because they change from year in and year out. Feb and March are awful sports months for me because I have no investment in any sport. This year, at least, we have the winter olympics.

I have no familiarity with 80% of the kids listed on this depth chart.

We may already have the difference makers at DT and possibly DE. The 3 incoming DT's all have good size and two of them are 5th year+ players. At DE the top players are likely to be Granville and Kemajou. There looks to be room for another player at DT and maybe 2 at DE, and in looking at the 247 listings of top players at each position there seem to be a good many talented players still not committed but there haven't been any leaks about them visiting PSU.

At WR of the 4 incoming ISU WR's 3 seem to have good size and then there is the 6'4" Jones from Grambling. The NC St WR Rogers reportedly visited PSU but still shows as uncommitted, but most of the top WR's are commited. Two top rated WR's, Moore from Texas and Gill from Syracuse are uncommitted, but they may be just evaluating their offers at this point. Seems that another WR would round out the group but Campbell may be trying to get one at the end for less than what they were asking.

Safety is the other position that sticks out as needing a player or two but the recent talented DB from ISU has played both CB and Safety and maybe he's going to play Safety for PSU.

Interesting lineup.

Should be interesting to see where Goodman plays on the OL. He seems like a stud and a future all Big10 OT but may be at Guard given that Donkoh has R OT locked down and the reported talent of Sexton and Aliciene.

Hope Riker is enrolled and in the S&C program as in his bio he seemed a little small for a B10 starting Center.

Blanding started the Pinstripe Bowl and played well in addition to getting significant playing time during the season so I'm looking for him to be on the 2 deep and play a good bit.

At LB the incoming ISU transfer Bacon is a big kid and I'd be surprised if he doesn't compete at Mike LB.

I'd love to see Tatsch continue his progress and start at LB in 2026. He's shown great instincts and seems to be plenty fast and strong.

I have a hard time believing that Toure won't be in the 2 deep at Safety. Toure was a composite 2024 class 4 star recruit, the #6 player in NJ, and has progressed steadily at PSU in his two seasons. He was one of the leading tacklers in the bowl game including a sack with Wheatley not playing. Cooper and Neal have more experience and may have as good of athletic ability as Toure, and Patton has more experience than Toure as well. But no way the low level recruit Fileppo (#29 in PA) that played special teams for a poor WV team in his true freshman 2025 season will beat out Toure. This just shows the lack of knowledge of whoever put this depth chart together.

Change 1st and 2nd team to Primary Rotation and it works for me. Brahmer, Bacon, Peoples, and Eskildsen will make big plays, but the rules say only eleven guys at a time.

Sucks for Tatsch to be 2nd team behind no one. I kid. But am I the only one seeing that?

It's likely because whoever made that depth chart believes that Campbell will bring in the starter at that position before the end of the portal session. It's the same for one of the 3 WR's starters where he has Howard and Sewell as starters but an empty spot for the 3rd WR starter. The top part of the 2 deep on offense is cut off in the post here, but if you go to twitter you see all the positions.
