2025/26 Transfer Portal & Roster Changes Thread

Toure and Kemajou back

And Quinton Martin !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kemajou and Granville will be a nice starting DE pair. And Toure with Lane. Guess they can only pay so many. Martin looks like next years starting RB, but we need a couple more. Like Hayes and Coleman, both having strength and size.

It's great news when young players that have already shown they are playmakers come back, like Kemajou, Martin and Toure!

I thought today would be like signing day for HS recruits and there would be a bunch ot announcements of guys signing but I guess not.

The "t" in tosu must be for tampering.
To be fair, I am sure Coach Cambell talked to players from Iowa State before today. Clearly not as bad as recruiting a player on the field right after a game but would still be against the rules as I understand them. Saying that, are there any rules being enforced regarding the portal?

A couple more staying:

Peter Gonzalez, RS So WR Injured (?) in 2025. Big WR mentioned early in his time at PSU but never got on the field. Maybe he see's his time coming soon....

Brian Kortovich, RS Fr TE Redshirted in 2025

And another leaving, Corey Smith, RS-So RB
Hope this opens the door for Hayes and Coleman to stay with Martin.

And ISU transfer TE Brahmer, #1 TE in the portal, predicted to replace Reynolds at PSU....

Also, Marcus Neal Jr, from ISU, .90 transfer and #5 overall Safety in portal CB's to PSU 100%

ISU guys at QB , other RB and TE. Probably a few other ISU guys as well.

From the CB's regarding the ISU players in the portal, and recent PSU players that announced they are staying, I believe it looks like this so far:
  1. QB - Becht (ISU)
  2. RB - Martin, Hansen (ISU)
  3. WR - Howard, Gonzalez, Brookins (ISU)
  4. TE - Rapp, Brahmar (ISU, Kortovich
  5. OL - Donkoh, Cousins, Onoh, Aliciene, Sexton
DT - Cook, Andrews
DE - Granville, Kemajou
LB - Rojas, Tasch
CB - Dixson, Collins
S - Lane, Toure, Neal Jr (ISU)

Updated with the couple of DT's that said they're staying.

Perhaps a few possible adds:
RB -- Hayes, Coleman
WR -- Lyrick, Outen, Gozales
TE -- Henderson, Kortovick,
OL -- Sexton, Brewer, Harbour, Goodman, Rulli, O'Hara

DT -- Wafle. Blanding, Adirika, Cook, Andrews
DE -- White, Williams, Harris , Burnett
LB -- Arrington, Smith, Nelsom, Campbell
CB -- Tracy, Woseley, Joseph
S -- Dinkins, Belgrave-Shorter

Some might have entered the portal already and I missed them.

They'll need way more WR help. No one has played except Howard and the ISU guy. This is one area worth spending on. Get two or three guys.

I don't believe any you listed have gone to the portal yet. Likely talking to the staff about their possibilities in staying at PSU. before making a decision.

But I've seen that Gonzalez (WR) and Sexton (OT) have announced their return to PSU. Gonzalex is particularly interesting as he early on got some compliments but never seemed to be healthy enough to compete so far at PSU going into a season. With WR pretty wide open maybe he's healthy and see's a path to playing time.

DT is a huge need. Not sure any of the young prospective returnees are ready to start. Maybe they'll be depth guys.
Blanding played a good bit vs Clemson and has 2 years of eligibility remaining. Don't remember if he started.

Would still be a great start to build some DT depth if 2 or more of Wafle, Andrews, Cook and Adirika would return.

Lynn and the new DL coach are going to have to bring in at least 2 starter ready DT's, probably 3 or more. I just checked the 247 portal page for USC but there aren't any CB's listed for any of their two DT's in the portal, including Devan Thompkins who's the #2 overall portal DL that it would seem Lynn would want to bring along....

I tried to focus on the bigger impact guys.

RB Hansen rated 88 which is high 3* and he has experience. He'd be another one and done guy but we need somebody.
Brookins is only rated 85 which is lower 3 star. He's from NJ so PSU is closer to home.
Sexton was a highly rated prospect but is still young.

Yep, regarding Sexton, he's gotten some positive comments in the past. But Boyer, also a RS freshman, got the start vs Clemson and played well and I'm surprised that Campbell didn't lock him up. With 3 years of eligibility remaining he would be a great young OT to build the OL around, playing left OT a very important OL spot. Maybe Boyer's asking price was too high.

Boyer and Shanahan appear to both be joining Traut in Florida

2024 Big12 Championship highlights. Worth watching to get a better idea of schemes and potential PSU players. I'm still not as pumped as Tengwall and others, but that's just me.
