Clemson will be without 26 players for Pinstripe Bowl

I believe DDS said he was playing. Also Kemajou, Harvey who both played a good bit this year. Malichi Williams played some and likely will get snaps in this game. Enai White, who moved from DE to DT mid season could also play both positions if needed. Don't know if Mason Robinson is healthy yet. Both true freshmen Cortez Harris and Dayshaun Burnett could also play if they are healthy.

It would seem that DDS, Kemajou, Harvey and Williams will get most of the snaps, but who knows......
Given the possible poor field conditions, we might see DDS and Kaytron opt out to avoid injury. No inside info just a guess.
Is the Yankee Stadium ground crew ready to handle that volume of snow? I would think the playing surface would be tarped and not removed until just a few hours before kickoff.
My opinion, there shouldn't be any bowl games played in outdoor venues north of the Mason-Dixson line. How is a bowl game played in lousy weather a reward?

If my son were a likely 1st- or 2nd-day NFL draft pick, I'd counsel him not to play.

Cade Klubnik has some incentive as his draft stock dipped somewhat this season and he apparently wants to give scouts another look. Even so, I think he's still seen as a 2nd-round pick so I'm really surprised that he's playing tomorrow...especially in the weather conditions that are being forecast.

If those in charge of the field are smart enough to have the field covered the playing conditions may not be that bad. The forecast I just looked at show rain stopping around 6AM tomorrow which would allow plenty of time to uncover the field and touch up any issues.

And they don't play other football games there so the grass should be pretty much virgin as baseball was over months ago and there's not enough action in a baseball game to do any damage to anything anyway!!

What player on Penn State will go in first or second round?, I can't think of anyone except Vega maybe. I doubt Klubnik goes before the 4th

Well I said 1st- or 2nd-day pick which encompasses the first 3 rounds of the draft.

Vega is a 1st-rounder for sure. I think Nick, Kaytron, and Zakee are all potential day-2 guys though any of them could fall below that.

With the demand for QBs in the NFL, I have to think some team will take a chance on Klubnik before the 4th round...though he's certainly played his way out of 1st-round consideration. Remember, at the beginning of the year some people thought he'd be a top-5 selection.

I'd be more wary of playing on turf to be honest.

May have been easier to list those that are playing. I feel bad for any fans rope a doped into buying tickets thinking that they were going to see PSU verses Clemson.

People pack it in for late season Browns games, and 95% of their games are "meaningless". NYC during Christmas and New Years can make this game weekend a doable event. And Key West is always open afterwards.

To each their own. Not a fan of NYC. Dirty, crime ridden city. You couldn't pay me to go to this game. Apparently, a number of the players felt the same way.

NYC is arguably the capital of the world and has a lot, I mean a lot, of great tourist venues and food. It's why tons of people from around the world visit it. And there had always been crime there, like with every other city. But, fall is the best season to go IMHO.

I wonder why Terry Smith made no mention of Anthony Donkoh as opting out or playing? Anyone have any info on him? Sure would like to see him.play @ RT.

I doubt I'll ever go back to NYC. DId make it to the observation deck of the World Trade Center Towers probably 20 years before they fell.

But one thing in favor of the crowd for the game is that there are a large number of PSU alums in and around NYC. Those that live there seem very versed on their transportation options and may see the game as a chance to easlily go to a PSU game "locally".

Can't blame any of the players with NFL aspirations for sitting out the game, but I'm somewhat surprised by 4 of the 5 OL starters choosing to sit out. Especially Dawkins who has been quite an outspoken leader for the team. Is he good enough to make a serious run on an NFL team? I don't know. I respect his decision and also am a big fan of his ride on the team and his contributions as the starting Center the last few years, but his playing could have given the OL some continuity carryover by him calling out the OL sets as he's been pretty good at it.

On the other hand giving next season's Center a full game of experienced is also a value to the team going forward. I'm expecting Center to be manned by Cousins the next 2 years. It's a tall order to put together pretty much a whole OL in a couple weeks of practice so I believe we have to give Clemson's DL the advantage looking at the game at this point and if the young PSU olinemen can't open running lanes for Katron and the talented young RB's that will put a lot of pressure on Grunk and the passing game.

Keep in mind that Clemson will be missing almost its entire starting DL so who knows how all this will play out.

As for Kaytron, I've heard he'll be on a play-count. How many plays I don't know but it would surprise the heck out of me if it's a lot.

Anyone care to try and predict the PSU Oline for the Pinstripe Bowl??

I'll give it a try:

LT Williams (the fact that he hasn't entered the transfer portal yet tells me he is in a positon to win a starting 2026 OL spot, but it may be inside if Cousins is at Center with Rulli as the backup Center)
LG Cousins
C Rulli (highly valued former walk on gets the start, but Cousins likely also gets some snaps at Center if Rulli does start there)
RG Shanahan
RT Donkoh (he put a whole hear RG play on film and he may be most valuable to team at OT for this game)

And who plays some or a good bit at OT from among Boyer, Aliciene, Sexton and Goodman, and inside from among Onoh, Brewer, and Harbour should tell us some thing about their chances to move up to starters or at least regular contributors in 2026.
