Yep, Clemson's best Dlinemen aren't playing but it seems to me that it's easier for backup dlinemen to fill in and play reasonably well than a whole oline. Teams substitue both DT's and DE's liberally all season so the backups have a good bit of experience.Keep in mind that Clemson will be missing almost its entire starting DL so who knows how all this will play out.
As for Kaytron, I've heard he'll be on a play-count. How many plays I don't know but it would surprise the heck out of me if it's a lot.
For PSU Cousins has played a good bit and Shanahan some, but the OT's other than Williams who I don't believe has played too many snaps at OT and less inside where he reportedly has focused during this season's practices don't have many snaps between them. Now if Donkoh plays and plays R-OT that solves that position as that's where he started in 2024 until he got hurt. But if Sexton, Boyer or Aliciene are forced to start they are very inexperienced.
It would seem that Cousins-Rulli-Shanahan inside would put the most experience on the field inside. Outside it would likely be Donkoh if he plays and Williams although he would be moving back outside. Should be fun to watch and see how the staff was able to put the new OL together.
Some say the game means nothing (not me) but a win and a winning record would be a great send off for the the Seniors and a nice positive for the staff to build on going into Winter workouts, attracting talented portal transfers, and then Spring practices.
