I can't watch but am following online. The defense sounds shaky. FIU had 3rd & 12 and passed for 10. Next drive had a 3rd and 13 and passed for 12.

PSU's recent history is to blitz and go for the sack instead of giving 4-5 yds. Is that what happened on those plays?

Yep. They look good. Both schemes and skills. The LBs aren't quite there yet. They need better lateral speed to string out the Ducks and Bucks.

Early assessment. On offense, it's playcalling and blocking schemes. On defense, it's still LBs. Overall, lack of focus. DE/DL, Allen, and WRs are doing well.
