I am hearing rumors about amnesty plans

Need to make birthright citizenship not apply to those who didn't immigrate legally.

That anchor baby loophole needs to end.

Ldn
It's totally fine for a baby born here to be a US citizen, but that doesn't mean the parent can't be deported and take her US citizen baby with her. The child of course, would be free to return when of age.

Yep already on ignore

Does this mean you're not going to try to explain your lies about BLS stats and teaching stats at community colleges, nor your lies about people being hired for do-nothing federal jobs to boost employment numbers during the Biden administration, and those same people being re-hired by state and local governments to do nothing, yet again ... because these same people now want to boost employment numbers during the Trump administration?

Here is another post on it via X. The point is to fix the problem with practical and binding immigration policies lest the next time the dems win the White House we just start the mess all over again

We should allow a guy who thought it was OK to deport someone for having MS 13 literally tattooed across his hand, when it was an obvious superimposed graphic alleging a translation of actual tattoos to be in charge of "practical and binding immigration policies."

Makes sense.

Someone here illegally, runs over the border, then has a baby... that baby should not be a US citizen.
I don't have a problem with that stance, but my point is that I don't think it matters. Just remove the "anchor" policy.

Mom crosses illegally.
Baby is born in US and is a citizen. (This doesn't mean they have to live in the US)
Illegal alien mom is deported and must take her dependent (US citizen) baby with her.
Mom is no longer eligible to emigrate legally in the future.
Child is a US citizen and can return to the country of their birth once they are of age.

My point is that getting rid of the anchor policy will greatly reduce the practice, and problem.

Are you suggesting that he didn't have an order of deportation against him?

When I state "And MS 13 explicitly and literally tattooed across his knuckles," I'm suggesting he explicitly and literally had MS 13 tattooed across his knuckles.

Not sure how I could be any clearer. Do you disagree that he explicitly and literally had "MS13" tattooed across his knuckles?

I am ok with that. Dude was charged for spousal abuse. When you are a guest, you should be deported for breaking the law, full stop. If you are a citizen, you get full rights. That is the law. Sorry, I don't make the rules

You're OK with what? Why do you guys just respond with talking points, rather than the actual comments? It's like you're a (poorly coded) program, not a human.

No. anyone who has anthing worse than a traffic violation is out. I think I said that in my post. And that is pure speculation on my part.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) provided data to lawmakers this week (9/27/2024). The data, as of July 2024, is broken down by those in detention, and those who are not in detention -- known as the non-detained docket. The non-detained docket includes illegal immigrants who have final orders of removal or are going through removal proceedings but are not detained in ICE custody. There are currently more than 7 million people on that docket.

The data says that, among those not in detention, there are 425,431 convicted criminals and 222,141 with pending criminal charges. Those include 62,231 convicted of assault, 14,301 convicted of burglary, 56,533 with drug convictions and 13,099 convicted of homicide. An additional 2,521 have kidnapping convictions and 15,811 have sexual assault convictions. There are an additional 1,845 with pending homicide charges, 42,915 with assault charges, 3,266 with burglary charges and 4,250 with assault charges.
